Charlie's Bar

It’s now been a year since we finished the refurbishment of Charlie’s bar, Brentwood. When the owner of Charlie’s Bar came to Bunch Interiors for a new design for the sports bar; Bunch were delighted to take this project on, as a Brentwood studio and a local bar it was really important to get the new design right for the customers and the landlord. From concept through to completion Bunch thrived taking care and considering all the key design factors from spacial planning, through to finishes, furniture, lighting ambience and customer experience. Re-design, main bar, pool room and both WC’s. As a multisport venue which shows and caters for a mixture of different sports, it was imperative that we needed to maintain this felixibitly, a space that can adapt to larger and smaller groups when needed. A venue that is dedicated to their existing customers but also wanting to make the place more accessible for families. A friendlier warmer environment open to all, breathing a new life into the venue, improving the overall customer experience and atmosphere. A lively, friendly pub dedicated to sports for all. With an overpowering large central bar, that was timber heavy and dark coloured it was important to bring this central feature to life. Expose its natural details, bring the beauty out in its own glory, let it stand proud. With a fresh classic look and feel, dark blue panelled tone, exposed brick, blue patterned velour fabrics and adding with warmth through timber, upholstery & copper light details for lighting ambience. With bursts of copper and deep tanned orange. By adding upholstered banquette seating within the windows and around the walls, created dedicated zones that could be adaptable for larger groups and smaller work groups in the week lunchtimes. Great for the socialising and watching entertainment. To enhance both comfort and functionality, upholstered banquette seating was introduced along the windows and perimeter walls. These defined zones allow the space to adapt effortlessly — whether hosting large social groups or offering more intimate seating for weekday lunches. The result is a warm, sociable environment that elevates the customer experience while staying true to the spirit of a great local sports bar.
